So here’s a tattoo I did on a hand yesterday… HUGE it covers parts of his fingers and goes between and it literally covers the ENTIRE hand! You can’t see the raven on the thumb area but when I post the good pics you’ll see the whole thing… This tattoo was the model I used for that painting I showed you a piece of a few posts back. I’ll be posting the painting soon too… Stay tuned for that!

Today is the 4th of July! So in true American fashion we’re grilling, drinking beers, and building guns! Don’t worry, no live ammo and no fully assembled arms. We’re just building my Stag lower with my Magpul parts and getting it ready for when I order my Yankee Hill upper… Anyway, just thought I would share it… Set up this sweet pic after the build…

Once again, happy birthday America! Hope you guys have a good and safe 4th!

geez-la-weez!! how long can i wait to do a post?? haha… sorry guys, been busy with art for art shows, a full work schedule, searching for a place to move to, studying, and i have been sick a few days lately which was putting off the new post even longer… so needless to say this post will be pretty long, haha… hopefully worth the wait… get ready for a bunch of stuff!!!

here’s a color snap from a zombie 7/8 sleever i have been working on… this is kind of an old picture seeing as how the top is almost all colored now… but this is the only one i could find at the moment, so this is all you get…

___________________________________________________________________

another outdated picture, hahaha… this is from a big day of the dead sleever i just finished up last week actually… didn’t take any pics because on my phone you just wouldn’t see the grandeur of the whole thing, ya know? plus i am waiting for my buddy scott to get back from Cananadadada so he can professionally shoot 3 finished sleeves and a soon to be finished backpiece… oh yes, they’re coming soon… this is one of them…

___________________________________________________________________

can’t remember if you saw this one already or not… huge rib piece of a conjoined fetal skeleton holding a stitched together heart with roses and calla lilies… i think she’s coming back soon so i can get a full healed shot… when i do it will be posted in the galleries…

___________________________________________________________________

here is a giant thigh piece i started a while back… this one is near completion. i think this is the most recent shot of it, actually…  we still have the rosary to color and her hair… then we are gonna frame it in with a bunch or roses, it’s gonna be killer… we finished up her shin piece as well… there will be pics of that in the galleries soon. you might remember, its the 2 pin ups in the graveyard… one’s a zombie and the other is a day of the dead girl? ah… you’ll see later…

___________________________________________________________________

here’s a drawing i did of a samurai fighting a giant snake… it’s for a half sleever i started a while back… not sure i have a shot of it because it was just the line work… the drawing came out good though! had to draw it a ton of times because the collector changed his ideas a few times during the art process… not my favorite scenario, but the piece came out great so the ends justify the means, you know?

___________________________________________________________________

here we have a skull wearing a spartan helmet and some blood! this was a cover up of a spartan shield that was super light, which made it really easy to cover… we’re gonna add a ton more spartan stuff to his whole arm so stay tuned for that!

___________________________________________________________________

yummmm!

___________________________________________________________________

got my axe head chromed… now i have an axe just like dude from American Psycho! admit it, you’re jealous….

___________________________________________________________________

here’s a huge forearm piece i started on my friend… giant squid attacking an “old old wooden ship” with the banner reading “hold fast”… just the line work this time around… shading to follow in just a few weeks… can’t wait for this one! gonna be epic!

___________________________________________________________________

close up of a black and gray piece i did… the other pictures came out shitty so this is the only one you get for now…

___________________________________________________________________

a sketch i did for an upcoming sleever project… took a few hours… mainly because i was trying to figure out flow… either way, the drawing came out cool… wait till you see it when i start it as a sleeve!

___________________________________________________________________

i knew it!!

___________________________________________________________________

here’s a sweet owl tattoo i started a while back and just recently colored part of… on the branch above this owl is another perched owl with a rat in its mouth… but it’s not colored yet… we’re also gonna add some background and color some surrounding stuff and blah blah… you’ll see more in a few weeks when i finish it!

___________________________________________________________________

here’s a big shaded upper section of a full sleeve i started a month or two back… there’s a pic somewhere down the blog of the lower half… it’s a sleever of snakes, skulls, and california poppy flowers… still in the shading phase… two more before color starts… this was only the 3rd session and it was only 2 hours… pretty awesome!

___________________________________________________________________

here’s a rad upper back piece i just finished up… the lights washed the pic out pretty good but again, these are just for the blog so i use my phone… this was two sessions. one was lining and shading, and this one was all color… hibiscus flowers, plumeria, calla lilies, and scottish heather… came out great and she sat like a champ!!! better pics will be taken when it’s all fully healed (which should be soon) and it will be in the galleries soon!

___________________________________________________________________

got tattooed again by my good buddy Adam Hathorn over at my old alma matter, Guru Tattoo! it’s a fist clenching a reclaimed soviet AK-47 with a crossed out “CCCP” and a banner that reads “WOLVERINES” in honor of Red Dawn (the original of course)… if you have not seen Red Dawn, and are around my age… you simply are NOT a man… hahaha. you need to see that flick! it was actually the first movie i ever saw in a movie theater as a kid… i saw it with my brother and the movie reels messed up right when the russians were parachuting into the school… we had to wait like 20 minutes before we could go back in… crazy i remember that! anyway, if you are in the SD area, you should definitely go by Guru Tattoo and see the shop and the amazing line-up of artists including the amazing Adam Hathorn

___________________________________________________________________

sketch for a tattoo i just did a few days ago….. pics to come later… the ones i took miraculously deleted themselves…. but the drawing is sweet… i think, anyway…

___________________________________________________________________

here’s a color portrait-esque piece i did on my friend… it’s a memorial for his dog Indy that passed away recently… there are crossed syringes (indy had the diabetus) and a chew ball with bat wings below it, and a banner with “INDY” above it. as you can see i added a pink collar with spikes at his request… the lights washed out the printout, but the look pretty damn close if you ask me… definitely one of the hardest ones i’ve ever had to do… normally i do illustrative stuff… this was a lot of fun, though… stay tuned for the finished product…

___________________________________________________________________

oh shit! here are some pics i took of that full sleeve! of course the phone doesn’t do it justice but you can kind of see where i am going with this thing… i promise, when my buddy gets back we’re gonna take really good shots of all these finished sleeves and backs…

___________________________________________________________________

here’s a sweet pulp style tattoo i started about a month ago… this is the shading session… a dead scantily clad angel with a bloody handed suited silhouette in the doorway… this piece will be color, so stay tuned for that!

___________________________________________________________________

here is a sweet ditch tattoo i started a few days ago to bridge between the seance piece i posted a while back and a dagger and heart i did a while back but i don’t think i have pictures of… anyway, this is just line work… this took a while man… ditch tattoos are a bit delicate as it’s pretty easy to blow out a line… we’re hoping to have it shaded and colored in the next session… we’ll see…

___________________________________________________________________

here is a drawing i finished today for a piece i am gonna start friday… this in an entire leg from the knee down with the exception of a piece on the back of the calf that i will be tying into… gonna be a lot of line work to start and cross the shin and all that fun stuff… we’ll see how he takes it! hahahaha lot of fun to draw though… took a while to figure out the layout since he wanted 4 skulls specifically, roses, and a banner that reads “Angela”… took a while to get the right placement, but i think it came out great.

that’s it for this time, i promise i will post at LEAST once a week!

and if you haven’t already done so, go get the new DANZIG album “Deth Red Sabaoth”… easily his best album since the original line-up… anyone who knows me knows how much of a DANZIG fan i am, so i might be a bit biased, haha… seriously though, this album is damn good!

that’s all for now, i am tired… it’s nearly 3am…

i was gonna show you this big, “how to” step by step watercolor painting tutorial thing with a painting that i recently did for a book project…. BUT…. i realized that giving it away now would defeat the purpose of it going in the book! so i’m sorry… all you get is a teaser…

gonna have to use your imagination for the rest…. when the book is launched, be assured, you will be the first to know… i guess if you are a client of mine, you will see it framed up in the studio. if not, you’re just going to have to wait…

i’ll be uploading new pics to the tattoo galleries tonight… so keep an eye out for that!

tattoos from pennsylvania

here are some tattoos i did while i was out in PA… i was there to work the lehigh valley Skindustry Expo with the guys from Steel City Tattoo, Scott Bramble, and my old (brown) friend Little Chico… the convention was awesome, i did a lot of fun stuff and won an award for Best Tattoo of the Day on the last day (it’ll be posted below)… after the show i worked at Steel City with the John Bicknell and his crew which was awesome… had a few flakers no show on me but sei la vie…. here are the people that were kind enough to show up…

here is a sweet rose and butterfly i did on Kris Smith from Coastline Tattoo up in Cape Cod, MA… we did it in one shot and i think it took about 3 hours and some change… he sat like a fucking ROCK, i tell you… i have done a lot of ditches in my time, and this guy by and far sat the best… great artist too! you can go to his website HERE.

finished this piece that i started exactly two years at the same convention! it’s an awesome demon with a stone brimstone symbol and some flames… his hands are trying to grab it and there’s part of a wing there too but the angled pics i took came out super blurry so you’re gonna have to use your imagination…

here is a sweet keystone and crossbones i did with a laurel wreath and some bursts… this is on Josh, which is one of the guys that works at Steel City… did this one freehand and knocked it out in just a few hours… he sat well and we talked about art and what not.. he’s a pretty killer artist, too… definitely gonna keep my eye on this guy…

here’s the award winner… a vampire skull with a stake through its head and some blood and wings and what not… ON THE FOOT! yikes! man i don’t have my feet done but i hear it’s pretty gnarly… this guy sat really well though… wish i could say the same but i was HUNGOVER BAD!!!! i was sweating and feeling faint and crappy and i didn’t think i was gonna be able to finish it… but, i did… i was out all night the night before and got all hammered and shitty and showed up 2 hours late for the show… didn’t start until a few hours after that… and still knocked this out and won the award… i feel good about it but i also feel bad that i let myself get so drunk when i had work the next day… that won’t happen again (until montreal)…

finished the zombie rambo finally! this thing has only been unfinished for maybe a few months but it was all over the ugliest tattoos website and a bunch of tattoo blogs as a crappy tattoo and so on… i mean, come on… i have seen some pretty shitty tattoos in my day but a zombie rambo ain’t one of them! hahaha… at least call it crap when it’s finished! hahaha so uh… here it is… crap?

finished this sweet thigh jammer on Mr. Bicknell himself while i was out there… John is the owner of Steel City Tattoo in bethlehem, pa and i travel there from time to time for guest spots and general tomfoolery… he sat well for this until the last 40 minutes… they were spent by his crotch… needless to say he was not enjoying life… but, it’s done now and looks sweet! take a look at the Steel City website HERE.

here is a winged skellie hourglass with crossbones i did on an ankle… or above the ankle, rather… this was FUN! i love when i get to do one and done tattoos and this one was a lot of fun because it has all the elements of what i like in tattoos! skulls, wings, and lots of color!! did this on one of the Steel City guys as well… man i think i tattooed more tattooers than customers on this trip! hahaha…

and on a serious note… we payed tribute to our friend Joe Beers that passed away a little over a year ago…no, we didn’t drink these beers and put them on his grave, they were already there… he’s also buried with a bowling ball, a sword, cigarettes, booze… GG Allin would be jealous… we talked some shit, told some stories, took a pull of some of the worst gin i have ever had and said goodbye… Goodbye Joe…

an upside down shot glass at the bar with his photo… miss you dude…

here’s some stuff i should have shown you about a week ago…
Wednesday April 21st 2010, 12:05 pm

yep i am always lagging… haha… i had 2000 buttons to get bagged (more like my assistant bagged them, thanks rachael!), stickers to cut out (by hand because kinko’s stopped using their cutters to do it because they say it gums up the blades…), had shirts made, die cut stickers, did the layouts and printed out new pages for the porfolios and what not…. i have been a busy boy! i have a lot of conventions and guest spots coming up so my web updates have been lacking…

here’s a few shots from pieces you missed over the week, and a few that i drew since i have been here at steel city tattoo in PA…

here’s the finished product of a dragon half sleever i started a while back… pretty awesome to finally see it finished! the colors are a bit washed out from my lighting but when it’s fully healed i will get good clean pro shots done and post’em up here and in the galleries…

this is a rib piece i started a few years back and it looked cool black and gray but the client decided to add some red to the letters and roses in an effort to make it pop out a bit more… i think it was a great idea! it really compliments the subtle grays and a little use of color never hurts!

so this is a cross section from a  full back i am working on… you haven’t seen the whole thing yet… i did that on purpose… you like when i tease you like that don’t you?? i bet you do… perverts…

finished this one up the other day… did all the color. the blacks were already healed you know, so the pics always turn out crappy… like i said earlier, i’ll get shots when it’s healed and post them up so you can see it in all it’s glory… the quote that’s on there is from a tiger army song “like a candle, this gift, my life, it burns away”… you’ll see it all when i post better pics…

a sweet traditional hinge i did on a guys ditch… total fun and knocked out in an hour!

the shading on the day of the dead wedding couple… black dress and a ton of detail! fun fun fun!!! it is gonna be color so stay tuned for that… also we’re gonna frame it in with a bunch of roses and such… gonna be awesome!

another sweet day of the dead piece i started on the lower forearm to match into a day of the dead upper arm piece i did… gonna tie it in so that it looks like we did it all at once… should be pretty awesome! stay tuned for more on this one!

here’s a section of a full sleever i started a month back… it’s gonna be epic! this is one of the skulls…

this is a california poppy (hard to tell because it’s not colored yet) and is right next by the skull above… there is another element in the sleeve not pictured but i will show you that when we shade it… it would be a bit confusing since it’s just lines… you’ll see…

here’s where i am right now! Steel City Tattoo in Bethlehem, PA… i’ll be working here as a guest for a spell and working the Skindustry Expo in Lehigh Valley this weekend… if you are in PA, and reading this, and want tattooed… come see me or call the shop! i still have a few spots i can squeeze you into… if you aren’t familiar with Steel City, check their website out HERE

here’s a fun little rotted out zombie heart with a butcher knife through it that i should be doing while i’m out here… i like all the little maggots and what not…

here’s a sweet little bat winged vampire skull with a stake through it’s head i am gonna do at the convention… gonna be on a foot! we’ll knock it out all in one shot and hopefully get to show it off a bit…

here’s something i drew just for fun yesterday while i was bored… loosely based on drawings by Charles Dana Gibson who’s one of my favorite illustrators… i didn’t have any reference in front of me, i just drew it from memory of his work… i love his stuff… i have a few paintings started that are in homage to him, but in my creepy way… you’ll see those later…

and finally, here’s a pic of some of the swag i made for this convention… shirts with the PA keystone on it and some crossbones… die cut stickers… button packs… vinyl stickers… this shit takes time!! but they look awesome!

that’s all for now… stay tuned for pics of stuff i’m working on while i am here in PA!!

so this is the first time i have had the pleasure of having wi-fi on my flight, and so i thought i should try it out by doing a quick update! there are a few rad tattoo pics that i should show you but that would entail me getting out my USB cables and then loading the shots and then doing all that crap and frankly, i am too crammed to get all that business right now! i don’t have much battery life on my laptop right now either because like a dumb-ass i didn’t charge it up last night… so i am just doing a quick post to let you guys know that i will be doing a post when i am in my layover in detroit… so stay tuned! in the meantime i will share a video of a masturbating dog that my buddy Parker dog-sits from time to time… he showed me this video and i was dying! you have to see it! the link at the end of the video is Parker’s clothing company! you should go check them out he has some great stuff on there! you can CLICK HERE too to be taken straight to it! enjoy the video!!

how rad is that!?!?

he skates too!!

if i get a dog someday… he better learn how to skate! (and beat off, hahaha)

okay okay… finally a new post!
Thursday April 08th 2010, 5:11 pm

so you may have been wondering why there hasn’t been a new post in a while… there’s no good excuse, actually… been lazy? haha got a lot going down looking at locations for a full studio and working on artwork and practicing a lot for a few shows we have coming up and probably most important is i got a new phone… this is the first update i have made since the new phone. had to figure out how to sync pics to the computer and so on… it has picasa and all that so i might be able to figure that out too… but that’s for another time…

here are a few pics of things i have been working on lately…

this is a memorial piece for the clients dog, Havok… it’s on the back of the leg and we have one more session to go and it will be all color and fancy… i’ll post the actual picture of him when i can show the finished tattoo and you can do a side by side comparison…

01100101001010010101001010010100101001010101001110110100101010101011010010010100001101010010100101010010… this is a robot piece i did on my buddy as a tribute to his mom… Michele with one L… that’s how i remembered to spell it right! haha… though halfway through lining the robot (the letters were already lined) he stops me and asks “dude, you spelled the name right, didn’t you??” hahahaha yeah dude, i got it… way to check after the damage would have already been done!

here is the colored version of the piece i posted a while back… this piece, if you’re just tuning in, is based on an Edgar Allan Poe poem titled “Alone”… one of the lines in the poem reads “and all i lov’d, i loved alone”… i made a victorian style coffin shaped frame that holds a human heart… mourning flowers surrounding it… stuff like that… i love this piece!

some inner arm madness from the zombie virgin mary sleever i am working on…

he’s got a little tattoo on his arm, hahahaha… we start color on this piece the next session… i am way excited!!

here is a one shot neck jammer i did on a guy from the UK… he wanted to get tattooed by me at the london convention but i was already booked up so we snuck him into the schedule while he was out in LA on business… super rad guy and sat like a champ!!! as you can see it is a pocket compass with some rose and leave action… a banner that reads “forward” and he rquested the compass needle point to west with a little bit of south but not so plainly southwest, which symbolizes his goal of moving to the US. awesome!!

here’s a snap of a big day of the dead themed sleever i am working on… you’ll see more as i get to the color… which should be the next session? i can’t remember… i don’t even know how i remember all the stuff that i have to do… haha

this piece, which i will show more of when the other elements are complete, is awesome… all black and gray on the whole leg from the knee down… this image that i showed is based on that image of when jesus is holding that guy up… you know the one i am talking about? well we did that but with a silhouette demon holing him up instead… awesome! more to come when it’s all done…

believe it or not, this piece i started here is a cover-up… of a BONG! hahaha there was a pretty silly bong tattoo right here that was done by a friend of mine like 10 years ago… he asked me if i could fix it up and i was like… uh… no. hahahaha… but i did offer to cover it up, and this was the result…. we’ll color it next time… we did his foot in the same session too… i didn’t get any pics of that though…. there are some on my facebook… are we friends yet?

this is a shadowbox i made as a gift for my friends birthday… an actual photograph of a man in a coffin with it’s original paper frame that i painted and splattered and hand painted the lettering that reads “memento mori” which is latin for “remember you must die” then i had cut some grapevine and wound them together with gold wire… set it in a shadowbox and there we have it… sometimes i hate getting rid of stuff like this but i made it specifically as a gift so it was a bit easier… i already had someone offer on the Ouija bard one i made but i am still attached to it… i’m gonna make more awesome shit soon though so don’t worry…

here is a sweet piece i did on the side of a calf… i took a few other pics but they are super blurry so this is the only one you get! a fun piece on an old friend and client which is always awesome because i get to do what i want with no resistance! those are the best clients… i got clean shots on my good camera so when i update the galleries you will see better pics… stay tuned…

here is a piece that i FINALLY got to color… started this one over a year ago, maybe more… but we had so many other little projects to work on that this one got put aside… also i think she was not looking forward to the rib pain… either ay it is finally done and colored and i am happy to see it all come together…

and

here are a couple pieces i did on a guy the other day… a compass and a broken pocket watch on the front shoulders, where they meet with the chest… we did both of them in 3 hours total… it was like an hour and 40 minutes for one and an hour and 20 for the other… pretty awesome stuff! i love doing one and done pieces because i get the instant gratification of seeing it start to finish! i have so many big projects going on that i don’t always get to see that…

anyway, that’s it for now! got a lot of stuff to work on this week so stay tuned for pictures… also i will be heading out to PA for the Lehigh Valley Convention in just a few weeks so stand by for pics from that as well! oh and the band is playing soon in san diego at the Radio Room… if you are local, you should come down and check it out!!!

yeah yeah yeah i know… “you said you were gonna update more often and blah blah blah”… i know what i said! haha… sorry… been busy tattooing and planning all the traveling i have to do this year… got a PA convention coming up… a trip to Montreal for a guest spot… POLAND!!!! for the convention in Krakow… a guest spot with Todd Noble and Lil’ Chico in Maryland… and that’s all before August… that is a LOT! man i am gonna be one jet-lagged giant… so anyway, here are a few snaps from the past week that i thought i would share with you!

2010-03-08 15.13.33

2010-03-08 15.13.40

this is a skull wearing a spartan warriors helmet that i started on a guys wrist… he had originally a spartan shield on his wrist but it was small and not to his liking so we covered it up with this beast! it will be colored in more than this i just wanted to add some of the blood so it would look killer (no pun intended)… i didn’t get a “before” picture but you’ll notice the shading is darker on the lower cheek part of the shield and that’s where most of the outline of the other shield was… definitely a fun one!

2010-03-12 16.18.34

got some shading done on the mummy girl… next time we are adding the pillars behind her and doing the inside of her arm with some hieroglyphics and what not… gonna be pretty awesome!

2010-03-14 19.33.38

2010-03-14 19.34.09

here we have the symbol of Baphomet and a stone 666 and a spiderweb i did on an old client of mine that found his way back to me… we’re gonna add a few more things and color some things and work on the existing work that i started about 4 years back… should be awesome to see it all finally come together… great guy, too. we definitely have similar interests and a lot to talk about so that makes the time fly by…

2010-03-15 18.50.51

here is a bride and groom thigh piece i started a few days ago… as you can see it’s done in the Dia de los Muertos style… it’s the whole top of the thigh and even part of her knee… that knee business wasn’t so good but she sat well through the rest… there’s a rosary kind of flowing itself through the piece as well with a little crucifix that has a skellie on it at the end. you’ll see more when i get better pictures… we’re shading it soon so stay tuned…

2010-03-13 20.06.38

hung some more art in the studio…

2010-03-10 21.27.34

added some more creepies…

2010-03-17 21.48.27

and i made this… it’s a shadowbox arrangement that i title “Wish You Were Here”… it’s an Ouija board set that i got at an antique shop in town that i put in a shadow box… went and bought some crushed red velvet, black lace, black ribbon, silk roses and baby’s breath… some pins, a glue fun, and 6 hours later we have this piece… i am pretty proud of my first crafty installment… i hope you like it!

well i am off to draw for the next week’s shenanigans…

wowsers… it’s been a while since the last update…

yeah… sorry about that… coming home from PA was a clusterfuck due to weather issues and i ended up sitting in Newark, NJ for about 7 hours waiting for a flight… man that was miserable… when i did get home i got some Santana’s since there is no such thing as good mexican food in PA, like, at ALL… after a giant california burrito i went to bed and the next day unpacked all my goodies and had to draw a ton of stuff for the upcoming week… still jetlagged i got all my art done and was ready for the week… my band Crushed On You had a show in Riverside, CA. we played well but i was SOOOOO tired… Anyway enough rambling… here are a ton of pics spanning the last few days of my time in PA all the way to today…

2010-02-21 12.28.48

this is a piece of the ghost of a fisherman coming out of a jack-o-lantern that i did on Scott Bramble when i was doing a spot at his shop, Mercury Tattoo… there isn’t really any cool folk-tale or anything like that… Scott just loves jack-o-lanterns and fishing… so he came up with this idea and this is what i gave him… it was a ton of fun and i am glad to be finished with it!

2010-02-21 12.28.55

here’s a close-up of the old mans face and the hat with all the lures and what not… fun stuff indeed!

2010-02-23 19.09.29

this piece i had a ton of fun with! the head i based on one of my favorite artists, Charles Dana Gibson, and the dress is kind of a mix of 3 or 4 victorian dresses i liked the most during my research… the piece is the whole front of the forearm and there is more to be added… as you can see her heart is ripped out… there’s gonna be a tree behind it that has her heart hanging from a branch and dripping blood on to her parasol… i thought i had a better shot of the whole front so you could see the dress but when i looked at it on my laptop it’s blurry as hell… so this is all you get…

2010-02-23 23.32.28

here’s a snap from a lower half sleever i started a while ago… this session we colored in all the water which took all the blue in the world according to my client, hahahaha… it really was a shit ton of blue…

2010-02-23 23.32.08

a close-up snap of the sunken ship and its mast with tattered said and what not…

2010-02-23 23.32.44

one of the sharks on the water… there will be one session left on this one… i’ll post pics of it as soon as i get it all done…

2010-02-24 23.54.25

my cats were super excited when their daddy got home… the orange one is twinkie and suki is already nestled up in my coat… i was super happy to see them and apparently they were super happy to see me too!

one of the drawings i did when i got back… awesome egyptian pin-up/mummy scene…

and the start of the piece… minus the upper background… we’re gonna add that later.

another drawing i did when i got back…

and the resulting tattoo… a one-and-done on the inside of the arm… lot of fun, and a cool guy too… that’s always a plus!

2010-02-26 01.21.39

a big sleever drawing i had to do… there’s an existing piece on the upper arm so it’s kind of like a full sleeve but a 3/4 sleeve at the same time? hard to explain… you’ll see more when i work on the piece more…

2010-02-28 20.32.24

some of the line-work from that sleeve…

here is the checkered rose i showed a few posts back… which is also a cover-up… but if you can’t see it then i am not gonna tell! hahaha definitely tricky having to do it in checkers like that… but it came out pretty well i think…

here’s a day of the dead piece i drew a while back but didn’t start until just a few days ago… it’s on the right side of the right calf… just line and shade in this run… i think we’ll color it in a few weeks if i remember correctly… definitely a fun one… trying to do all these day of the dead requests different every time is harder than it sounds, hahaha

2010-03-02 22.06.07

part of a drawing i was working on… it’s done, but i am linign and shading it on sunday so i won’t show you the whole thing until i start it… just thought you might like a taste…

my view from the chair… got tattooed by my good buddy, Adam Hathorn, the other day… got a sweet tattoo of a zombie nazi with a dagger in it’s head… part of Adam’s 300 CLUB… 300 tattoos for 300 bucks! all individually numbered and unique! if you are interested in getting on you can catch him at my old alma matter, GURU TATTOO or on his own website which is HERE… he’s amazing, the 300 CLUB is amazing… GURU is amazing… it’s a win win win!!

part of a sleeve drawing i did the other day… again, i’ll show more when i start it… which is tomorrow, hahahaha

and finally we have this awesome anti-edge tattoo i did on a friend of mine… this piece is a severed straight edge hand clutching a bottle with banners that read “true til friday”… all the straight edge tattoos usually read “true til death” but we both agree that we are only straight edge until the weekend comes, hahaha… this was a one-and-done tattoo that took about 3 hours… tons of funs!

that’s all i got… i promise not to make it so long between posts… i just had a ton to catch up on art-wise and work and about 50 emails and blah blah blah… keep coming back, and i will keep posting pics…
