So this post will be some goodies from June and a few pics from last month as well… You know the drill, hahaha. There’s been a few big pieces started this month and a whole bunch of new clients coming through so be sure to check back and see some new tattoo and drawing pics in the blog! I did some sweet work over at Steel City in PA and got to hang out with some good friends! I always have a blast when i go out there!
Anyway, on with the photos!
———————————————————————-
So this is one that I started a while back but never posted a pic of for some reason… a broken grandfather clock with a candle holder and a burning candle… The roman numerals are falling out and are a bit cracked as well… Definitely a fun one! Looking forward to color!

Anybody ever read “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark”? Well this is a tattoo of “The Bride” which is one of the short stories… Not necessarily the scariest of images, but what IS scary is the fact that this is in his ARMPIT!!! I’ve only ever done one set of armpits before… Came close on some rib panels but never really full on designs in the pit… But this one came out fantastic, and Marc… You sat like a champ buddy!

Here’s the sketch I did for an inner arm tattoo….
And this is the tattoo that followed… A sweet tribute tattoo with no names or dates… Simply, a tattoo that reminds the owner of his father without having to advertise to the world that he’s gone or have to tell the story over and over… A great idea and a clean and colorful tattoo… One and done… 3 hours I think?

Here is a really shitty photo of a really cool tattoo I did when I was in PA at Steel City Tattoo… Did this one on a wrist between some other tattoos so we had to squeeze it in… I think it fit pretty well in there… Unfortunately this is the best pic I got with my phone. When I update the galleries (been waiting for the new website, Shea….) you will see better shots of this one…

This is a rad owl I did on a forearm while i was at Steel City… An owl, rested on a stack of books, with burning candles, and a drippy doom moon in the back… Oh yeah and there’s a skull face in the belly, in case you missed that, hahaha. You can’t see the candles in this pic because I didn’t want to show all the angles. I have too many pics to post…
Ah screw it… The candles are awesome… You definitely had to see it… Plus you get to see the wing and stuff. I posted this on Facebook and got a “like” by Seth Ciferri which gave me a total tattoo nerd boner… That guy is one of the industry’s finest in tattooing and machine building so a nod from him definitely made me happy! Seth, if you ever look at my blog, you’ll be happy to know that i used one of your machines to line this… Maybe you could tell?

Here’s another grandfather clock I did but with some roses and a skully crossbones guy at the bottom… Started it a while back when i did a guest spot at Mercury in February and now I finally colored it… Super stoked on this piece… Too bad it’s on such a piece of shit… hahaha… Fuck you Reject.

Here’s a rad one shot anchor i did on the back of an arm… 3 hours… The drawing was based on the one he brought in and drew himself… Although this is my interpretation of his drawing (which was actually pretty good) I would like to give credit for the initial design to Drew, the collector.

Here’s a sweet compass I did with a sextant and a burned up map… One and done in approximately 3 hours…

Here’s a rose I did on a bicep. Just a quick one shot… Simple and effective. I don’t remember how long this one took…
———————————————————————-
Here’s an upper back piece I started a while back… It’s a fire phoenix clutching a banner that reads “Watch Over Me”. It’s a tribute to his son… This is just the line-work for now… Shading to come soon… This thing is going to be an explosion of color!!! Looking forward to another session!
———————————————————————-
This is called a Naga… It is very symbolic in Buddhism and is very symbolic to the collector, Ron… You can read up on the Naga and their meanings HERE. I think posting all of that would be a bit too much and hard for me to explain since I am not a Buddhist. Just the lines so far… believe me this thing has a TON of line work! You can’t see the 5 cobras over it’s head, as this is just a teaser shot… Guess you’ll have to wait for better pics…

Here’s a drawing I did when I was at Steel City in Bethlehem, PA… Just another zombie chick… Drew it from scratch with no reference which, I thought was cool. I like sitting down and busting out drawings for no reason. I feel like I never get to do that because I’m always drawing for someone else, you know? Anyway, this was a fun one…

This is a cheesesteak and fries from Carl’s Corner down in Bethlehem, PA… I gotta say, it was one of the best I’d had in a LONG time. Double meat double cheese and they put some red sauce on there that I don’t really know what it is but it is fantastic… If you’re ever out that way I highly recommend it!

Here’s a little 6×10 painting I did for my friend Landon’s birthday present… I couldn’t think of what to get the guy since he’s into motard bikes and stuff that I really couldn’t just guess that he likes…But I know he likes art!! So I painted him this little birthday severed zombie head on a piece of wood from the garage… I took this pic with my iPhone so it’s not really showing all the detail around the eyes and the stark contrasts of the slate background with the red blood spatter… But you get the idea…

My old lady and I went to the Del Mar Fair and rode some spin-n-barf machines… that was a blast! Didn’t really eat too much of the fried foods because I wasn’t really up to shitting myself at the fair… Call me old fashioned… This is just one of the shots I took when i was there… I thought it looked cool enough to share…

Spent a few days in Vegas with some close friends for my buddy Sean’s bachelor party… This was a cool shot of the video poker machines I took… I didn’t take too many pics in the casino. I’m always worried that the pit-bosses and security are gonna freak out that I am trying to cheat or spy or whatever… Maybe it’s neurotic, but I know you can take pictures at the Black-Jack table… Tried that one once…. Once… Also met a fellow tattoo artist Jared Cofield in Vegas when I was down on Freemont Street. He works at Original Tattoo in San Pedro, California. Definitely cool to be spotted by him and I checked out his work and it’s awesome! Good work Jared!! It was great to meet you dude! You can see his work on his shop’s Facebook by clicking the link HERE.
That’s pretty much wraps up this post…. Sorry it took so long! Been painting a lot for birthdays (I’ve been giving paintings as presents) and cranking out new drawings and such… Gonna put together a sketchbook collection of the drawings I have been doing for the last year or so… I’ll keep you posted on that. The new website should be coming soon?? I paid for part of it, I just haven’t seen too much of it yet… Or at all? My web dude is the shit and is super busy so I know I’m not as important as some of the “high end” guys. Don’t worry though, when it’s ready it will be awesome and will work on all smart-phones and everything! Even the galleries!
Ok, off to the airport. I am getting yelled at that it’s time to leave so we can make our flight to Alaska! Stay tuned for pictures from that trip in the next post! Until then…..
